Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations and provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff and other personnel. You will help ensure equipment is ready for rental and assist in daily tasks that keep the branch running smoothly.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and reliable customer service, with opportunities for advancement into our Driver and Service Technician development programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety and customer service.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and proper working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive a delivery truck for pick-up/drop-off.
• Other duties as assigned.
