Job summary

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider and is seeking an Equipment Associate to support technicians, sales staff, and branch personnel. You will perform a variety of manual tasks to help ensure smooth branch operation.

Excellence in this role leads to advancement into our Driver and Service Technician development programs, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and ensure proper working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment and drive a delivery truck for pickups/drop-offs.
• Other duties as assigned.
