Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations. You will assist service technicians and sales staff, perform equipment checks, and ensure safety compliance while preparing gear for rental.

The role offers growth opportunities into driver and service technician development programs. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading, unloading, and demonstrating gear to customers, and occasionally driving a delivery truck.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and operate delivery vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
