Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate in Texas to perform a range of manual tasks that keep branches running smoothly. You will assist service technicians, sales staff, and other personnel to meet customer needs.

This role offers a path toward advancement through development programs. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, ensuring safety decals, loading/unloading gear, and demonstrating equipment to customers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Excellent communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills.
Diligent attention to safety.
Superior customer service skills.
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and compliance; ensure equipment is in good working order.
Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
Load and unload rental equipment; prepare equipment for rental.
Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and operate a delivery vehicle for pickup/drop-off.
Other duties as assigned.
