Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations by assisting service technicians, sales staff and customers.

You will participate in equipment checks, demonstrate gear to customers, and drive a delivery truck to move equipment between locations with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. You will also help with loading/unloading, maintaining a clean workspace, and coordinating with branch staff to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and teamwork are essential.
• Superior customer service and safety awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area; load/unload equipment and prepare for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers; drive delivery truck for pick-ups and drop-offs.
