Job summary

Intralox, L.L.C. seeks an innovative engineer to optimize material handling systems for customers in parcel logistics and e-commerce using Intralox’s automated equipment technology. This position is located at an Intralox facility in Hanover, MD.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, 3–5 years in a related engineering role, and strong communication with customers. Travel, including international, and CAD proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar.
  • 3–5 years in related engineering role.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer facing experience.
  • Direct experience with conveyance systems.
  • Analytical problem solver and hands-on approach.
  • Willingness to travel including international and weekends if required.
  • Experience with CAD.

Responsibilities

  • Build in-depth understanding of Intralox equipment capabilities and value in Logistics and Material Handling.
  • Support account teams to understand customers’ challenges and opportunities to optimize systems.
  • Develop layout drawings and estimate costs.
  • Interpret customer specs to define scope, create layout drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Evaluate and mitigate technical risk in projects.
  • Present detailed solutions to customers using CAD and simulation tools.
  • Contribute to product/process improvements based on customer needs.
  • Up to 30% travel for customer visits, system troubleshooting, and training.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the improvement of products, processes, and applications based on customer needs.
  • Up to 30% travel is required for customer visits, system troubleshooting, and training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or similar engineering field
  • 3-5 years in related engineering role
  • Excellent communication skills and customer facing experience.
  • Direct experience with conveyance systems
  • Analytical problem solver and willing to be “hands-on”
  • Ability to travel including internationally and occasional weekend travel if required
  • Experience with CAD
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing automated material handling systems or equipment
  • Experience with electrical controls
