Job summary

ChildServe in Johnston, IA is hiring a full-time Equipment and Inventory Coordinator. This entry-level role ensures staff have the products, materials, equipment, and supplies needed to operate efficiently.

Based at our Johnston location, you will coordinate with staff, receive and inspect deliveries, maintain organized storage, monitor inventory, and help with on-site and off-site supply delivery. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior inventory experience is welcome.

ChildServe is hiring a full-time Equipment and Inventory Coordinator. This entry-level role, based out of our Johnston location, will help ensure members of the organization have the products, materials, equipment, and supplies they need to operate efficiently.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, general business hours with holiday rotation and infrequent weekends based on service needs.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate with staff to fulfill supply and inventory needs.
• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders; document and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized storage areas and safely move, store, and distribute inventory using appropriate equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels, process inventory transactions, rotate stock, and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Prepare and deliver supplies to on-site and off-site locations and provide departmental backup support as needed.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous inventory or purchasing experience preferred
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
• Lift up to 50lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
• Maneuver within the physical work environment with some bending, stooping, reaching and light lifting.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
