Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority is seeking an Equipment Data and Reliability Professional to lead the Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) program and drive the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) of wastewater systems.

You will build and improve CMMS data processes, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate with safety and operations to optimize PM/PdM and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related operational area and three (3) or more years of experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting
• Associate’s degree in a related operational area and five (5) or more years of experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting

Responsibilities

• Own continuous improvement initiatives driving the reliability and maintenance engineering (RME) program.
• Develop processes ensuring reliable and quality data into CMMS software.
• Provide leadership to team leaders and planners with emergency breakdown and data-driven resource scheduling.
• Perform historical data analysis to predict equipment failure using SPC, Weibull, FR, FRACAS for KPI development.
• Strive for maximum equipment OEE by RCA, FMEA, FTA, MTBF, MTTR.
• Drive predictive maintenance programs based on vibration, oil and infrared imaging.
• Manage O&M contracts, projects and resources and ensure data integration into CMMS.
• Conduct PM optimization for scheduling and resource allocation.
• Develop audit programs to ensure efficient PM/PdM execution with safety and reliability.
• Develop safety procedures and conduct job hazard analysis with safety teams and contractors.
• Document and prepare KPI reports reflecting RME status.

Compensation $78,075.83 - $141,128.88 (Based on Experience)

Job Responsibilities

• Own continuous improvement initiatives and efforts driving the reliability and maintenance engineering (RME) program.
• Develop process and procedures ensuring reliable and quality data into CMMS software.
• Provide leadership and management support to team leaders and planners with emergency breakdown and data driven resource scheduling.
• Perform historical data analysis to predict repetitive equipment failure and rates by using standard prediction model such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical distributions (Weibull, exponential, etc), Failure Rate (FR), Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to develop various KPI, six sigma based RME processes and procedures.
• Strive for maximum equipment Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) by performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), etc.
• Drive predictive maintenance programs based on vibration, oil and infrared imaging.
• Manage O&M contracts, projects and resources as needed ensuring smooth data integration into existing CMMS software.
• Conduct PM optimization developing optimized scheduling and resource allocation.
• Develop audit program to ensure efficient PM/PdM execution with safety and reliability.
• Develop safety procedures and conduct job hazard analysis in collaboration with safety team and contractors.
• Develop safety & housekeeping procedures and conduct job hazard analysis in collaboration with internal leadership, Risk Management team, and contractors.
• Document and prepare KPI reports to leadership team reflecting RME periodic status.

Equipment Data and Reliability Professional will Drive Wastewater reliability and maintenance engineering (RME) program to ensure the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) of wastewater equipment at an optimum cost for equipment crave-to-grave life cycle. Develop or review existing or new processes to ensure reliable data is being generated at the field and ensure quality data being fed into CMMS available for data analysis. Own various reliability programs and documentation, such as but not limited to, root cause analysis (RCA), PM/PdM optimization, equipment criticality, FMEA, failure probability and KPI. Coordinate with various stakeholders and provide technical support pertaining to best practices, KPI analysis, data driven planning and scheduling, equipment rebuild, repair and warranty program.

Required Education and Experience

• Work is performed within an office, plant environment, remote sites, or other locations.
• Employees within this classification may be exposed to dust and electrical connections, and frequent work with computer equipment.
