Job summary

CTS Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Tech III to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment in accordance with specifications, manuals and drawings.

You will collaborate with Engineering, follow safety and quality procedures, and handle routine data entry and documentation. Requires a High School diploma and 5+ years of related experience; Associates degree with 2-5 years preferred.

Job/Position Summary

As an equipment maintenance tech III, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair equipment and machinery, and production process equipment in accordance with specifications, operating manual, schematics and drawings.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Follow all safety, quality procedures, and work instructions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose infrequent problems with processes and equipment with minimal direction or documentation
• Evaluate equipment performance and improvements; perform moderately complex procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Other related duties as directed by management.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma and equivalent is required.
• 5+ years related experience. Experience in lieu of education can be considered.
• Associates Degree with 2-5 years related experience desired.
• Reading, writing and communicating in English.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Training all level technicians.
• Efficient in troubleshooting and repairing 100% of production equipment.
• Ability to perform equipment upgrades, to include working with Engineering to establish upgrades.
• Identify new equipment to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Knowledge of equipment desired and understanding of preventative maintenance.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Good understanding of variousmachine set-up and equipment operations.
• Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work assignments for the week with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
• Must be able to communicate well with other Technicians and Engineers for direction, to include shift to shift pass down.
• Ability to share technical observations with other Technicians.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Able to comply with requirements for respirator usage.
• Ability to lift material and equipment weighing up to 45lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in confined places.
