Job summary

Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, OK is seeking a full-time veterinary technician to support a twelve-doctor practice, including boarded surgeons, internists, and veterinary interns.

You will rotate through services, assist with appointments and procedures, monitor ICU patients, and help maintain medical records while ensuring safety and biosecurity. Training is provided for anesthesia and day-to-day service changes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential.
• Background with equine knowledge is a must with strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures and treatments.
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
• Safely handle and restrain horses.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support effective client communication.
• Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies.
