Job summary

Lodi Veterinary Care is seeking a friendly Veterinary Service Specialist to join the Equine Department full time in a fast-paced setting. You will manage client communications, scheduling, and billing while ensuring excellent patient and client experience.

The role involves occasional Saturday shifts and physical tasks related to equine care. Experience in customer service and comfort with data entry in Cornerstone is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Love for animals and working in an animal care environment.
• Equine knowledge preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Schedule ambulatory and in-house visits.
• Assist with daily record keeping and accounts receivable questions.
• Answer and handle phone calls and emails quickly and professionally.
• Enter and retrieve client and patient data in the practice-management software.
• Process bills, take payments, and manage supply orders as needed.
• Check clients in and out of the hospital and assist with loading/unloading horses.
