Job summary

Southeastern Life Center in Pembroke, NC, seeks an Equine Therapy Manager to lead and manage the Equine Therapy Program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and overseeing the educational and recreational aspects of the program. The successful candidate will develop new programming and manage all operations including staff and client relationships.

This full-time position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Horsemanship or related field, relevant experience, and PATH certifications. Strong leadership and horsemanship skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; related experience of 2-5 years; prior management experience preferred.
  • PATH certifications required within specified time frames; strong knowledge of disabilities and therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programming and management of Equine Therapy Program.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and manage facility operations.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, and evaluations.

Skills

PATH International Certified Mental Health and Learning Instructor within 6 months of hiring
PATH International Therapeutic/Adaptive Riding Instructor Certification
Thorough knowledge of PATH International standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced horseback riding skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Horsemanship or a related field
2-5 years related experience
