Job summary

Ray of Life Collective seeks an AmeriCorps Horse Rider/Trainer to support equine programs and community service efforts. The role involves hands-on horsemanship, outdoor activity, and youth development within a structured AmeriCorps environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for horses and community service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and around horses.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must successfully complete a required background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with riding instruction and horse training activities
• Help care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and daily wellness checks
• Support equine learning, therapy, and youth development activities
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming barn and riding environment
• Assist with daily equine program operations
• Develop skills in horsemanship, animal care, leadership, and community service
