Job summary

Ray of Life Collective is seeking an AmeriCorps Horse Rider/Trainer to support our equine programs and community service initiatives. The position may be full-time or part-time, with a service term from September 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027.

This role blends outdoor horse care with youth development and leadership growth. Ideal candidates enjoy working with horses, outdoor environments, and community programs, and are committed to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for horses, youth development, or community service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and around horses.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must successfully complete a required background check.
• Reliable transportation is a plus.

About the Position

Ray of Life Collective is seeking a passionate and dependable AmeriCorps Horse Rider/Trainer to support our equine programs while serving the community.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with horses, spending time outdoors, supporting youth and community programs, and developing hands-on horsemanship and leadership skills.

AmeriCorps Living Allowance & Benefits

• Full-Time: $1,952.38 per month $7,395 Education Award upon successful completion of service
• Members may also be eligible for professional development and leadership training, student loan forbearance/deferment on qualifying loans, childcare assistance, and health coverage.
