Job summary

Spring Island Club seeks a dedicated Equestrian Program Staff member to assist daily operations of our equestrian program. Responsibilities include horse care, lesson support, pony rides, trail rides, and light office duties while ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexible hours (including weekends/holidays), strong communication, and a passion for providing a positive experience for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with horses in an equestrian program or barn setting.
• Knowledge of horse care, riding, and basic veterinary practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Horse care: feed, water, groom, muck stalls and monitor health.
• Facility maintenance: keep barn, arenas, pastures, trails, and equipment in good condition.
• Program support: assist with lessons, pony rides, and trail rides; supervise beginners.
• Client services: provide excellent customer service to members and guests; manage inquiries and scheduling.
• Administrative support: light office duties, record-keeping, updated schedules and bookings.
• Teamwork: collaborate with staff and participate in meetings and training.
• Additional duties: assist with events and ongoing education in equestrian knowledge.
