Job summary

Miami University invites applications for the Assistant Director, Equestrian Community & Student Engagement to build partnerships with community and student groups and to provide outreach programs for students, faculty, staff, and the community.

The role includes serving as an additional instructor to club teams, youth programs, camps, and university riding classes, with a 40-hour work week and evening/weekend flexibility, based in Oxford, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of group riding instruction experience required.
• 1+ years of facility/programming experience required.
• CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and implement events in conjunction with University and community partners.
• Coordinate events with University Counseling services to implement equine assisted learning opportunities.
• Group riding instruction.
• Assist with travel with teams when needed.
• Assist in supervision of student staff.
• Assist in managing horse herd.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
