Job summary

Miami University is seeking an Assistant Director for Equestrian Community & Student Engagement. Build partnerships with community and student groups for equestrian programs and provide outreach to students, faculty, staff, and the community.

The role serves as additional instructor to club teams, youth programs, camps, and university riding classes, with duties spanning event coordination, safety, and supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of group riding instruction experience.
• 1+ years of facility/programming experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of hire.

Job Description Summary Build and manage partnerships with community and student groups interested in equestrian programs. Provide outreach programs for students, faculty, staff and community. Service as additional instructor to club teams, youth teams, camps, and the horseback riding classes offered by the university.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of equestrian safety standards and risk management
• Knowledge of Equine Assisted Learning modalities
• 2 or more years of facility/programming management experience
• 2 or more years of group riding instruction experience
