Job summary

Wilson College is seeking an experienced Equestrian Center Coordinator/Instructor at the Penn Hall Equestrian Center in Chambersburg, PA. The role combines barn and facility management with teaching equine courses and mentoring students.

You will lead a team across facilities, care for up to 71 horses, coordinate with faculty and staff, and ensure safety, efficiency, and educational excellence in a living laboratory for students.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge of horse care, herd health, and facility operations.
• Minimum five years managing a large equestrian operation.
• Experience teaching equine-related coursework at college level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Penn Hall Equestrian Center.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and vendor management.
• Teach two ground training/management courses per semester.
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, and students to integrate academics.
• Maintain facilities, safety, and animal welfare compliance.
