Qualifications

  • One year as an Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 or Human Resource Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Successful completion of the Pennsylvania Management Associate program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Two years of analytical experience in an equal opportunity program that includes one year of professional experience, and a bachelor's degree
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Monitoring: Review state and federal program activities to determine adherence to equal opportunity and non-discrimination rules
  • Complaint Resolution: Analyze and address discrimination complaints by gathering information, conducting interviews, and developing findings

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will support the agency by ensuring equal opportunity and non-discrimination requirements are consistently followed across a wide range of workforce programs. Your work is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals and ensuring compliance with federal and state standards. As a Equal Opportunity Specialist 2, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable based on operational needs.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as an Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 or Human Resource Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Successful completion of the Pennsylvania Management Associate program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of analytical experience in an equal opportunity program that includes one year of professional experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
