Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in El Paso, TX to protect government and other client sites. You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service.

Requirements include training in law enforcement or military police, a college degree, and 2+ years of related experience; background check and drug screening apply. Full-time role with a pay rate of $18.39 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• DD214 with honorable discharge or equivalent certification may fulfill requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while following security procedures.
• Operate as an armed security professional in accordance with laws, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances; notify law enforcement and responders as directed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeters.
• Document patrols, incidents, and interactions with accurate, professional communication.

• Sat: 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government law-enforcement locations.
• Operate as an armed security professional in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate law-enforcement personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately; maintain professional communication with site personnel and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge or possess an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
