What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, law enforcement personnel, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry into restricted areas; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and/or hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and maintain professional communication with site contacts and emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
