Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Paint Operator to prepare surfaces and apply epoxy and urethane wet paints to achieve high-grade finishes on parts or products. You will mask areas, adjust spray gun settings, and operate spray equipment to apply primer or finish coats safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include cleaning the booth and equipment, inspecting work for quality, and suggesting process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to utilize basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of proper usage of safety equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools (gages, guns, and pumps) required.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (required).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (required).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces and apply epoxy and urethane coatings to achieve high-grade finishes.
  • Apply masking tape or caps to protect parts not to be coated.
  • Adjust spray gun valves to regulate spray width and pressure.
  • Operate spray equipment to apply primer or finish coats.
  • Clean and maintain spray equipment and booth.
  • Suggest improvements to supervisors related to assigned work.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from leads and supervisors.
  • Ensure safe, efficient operation of all equipment and inspect own work for conformity to standards.
