Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Paint Operator to prep surfaces and apply epoxy and urethane wet paints for high-grade finishes on parts and products. On a typical day you will protect components, apply coatings, adjust spray guns, and maintain equipment while following safety procedures.

The role emphasizes precise application, accuracy, and adherence to production standards, with a focus on efficiency and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to utilize basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of proper usage of safety equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools (gages, guns, and pumps) required (required).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (required).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (required).

Responsibilities

  • Apply masking tape and/or caps to protect parts and components not to be coated.
  • Apply wet coat surfaces of manufactured products with epoxy and urethane coatings.
  • Adjust valves on spray guns to regulate width and pressure of spray.
  • Pull trigger and direct spray onto the work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
  • Properly clean and maintain all spray equipment including booth maintenance.
  • Make suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work.
  • Follow instructions, both written and verbal, from the lead person and production supervisors.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and inspect your own work for conformity to standards.
