Job summary

The State of Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology seeks an Enterprise Portfolio Manager – Unit D to guide enterprise IT investments and optimize program delivery. This role requires strategic thinking, cross‑agency collaboration, and strong governance skills.

You will act as an EPMO Product Owner, supervise project teams, refine backlogs, and align portfolio roadmaps with DoIT priorities, driving efficient service delivery and measurable outcomes for Illinois residents.

Qualifications

• Requires four years of college in MIS/IT or a related field.
• Four years of progressive administrative experience in IT.
• Three years of supervisory experience in a large IT organization.

Responsibilities

• Appraise, plan, and redesign enterprise business controls and reporting.
• Direct IT project teams by overseeing objectives and portfolio plans.
• Serve as EPMO Product Owner and supervise staff.
• Research improvements in processes, tools, and engineering practices.
• Keep abreast of developments in IT, business process engineering, and analytics.
