Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Epilepsy Technologist with 3+ years of experience to join our Diagnostic Neurology team. The ideal candidate will hold a CAAHEP‑accredited neurodiagnostic credential and ABRET EEG/T certification.

You will perform electrode application/removal, monitor seizure activity, and support patient safety during events, including PET/SPECT and CEEG procedures in ICU and EMU settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and graduation from a CAAHEP in Neurodiagnostic Technology.
• 3+ years of experience as an Epilepsy Technologist.
• R.EEG T. certification through ABRET.

Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert and assist other Epilepsy Technologist with complex matters.
• Performs the application and removal of electrodes.
• Reviews data for seizure activity and edits data for physician review.
• Assists nursing staff with patients during seizures, maintaining patient safety.
• Performs seizure testing with patients during events.
• Performs outpatient procedures such as PET, SPECT, Wada and Ambulatory studies.
• Performs CEEG procedures in the ICU setting.
• Performs intracranial monitoring in the EMU and OR.
• Communicates with coworkers and physicians about changes in patient status.
• Assists other areas of Diagnostic Neurology.
• On call responsibilities for EEG.

• 3+ Years of experience as an Epilepsy Technologist.
• Obtains R.EEG T., through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
