Job summary

Nemours is seeking an Epilepsy Program Coordinator for a full-time role in Orlando, Florida. This position supports the Neurosciences division by coordinating complex epilepsy care, engaging multidisciplinary clinics, and ensuring timely patient flow from pre-surgical workups to follow-up care.

The coordinator will manage scheduling, patient education, and communication with families, physicians, and APPs, while maintaining regulatory and safety standards with the care team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• State of Florida RN License or compact RN License required.
• EMU Care Certification within one (1) year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for epilepsy patients across subspecialty teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinic engagement and triage.
• Schedule pre-surgical tests (MRI, PET, SPECT, WADA, fMRI) and epilepsy surgery conferences.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with neurology providers and APPs to optimize patient flow in EMU and outpatient settings.
• Track outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
