The successful candidate will coordinate pre-surgical workups, participate in education program development, and support quality initiatives within neurology services at Nemours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• State of Florida RN License or compact RN License required.
• EMU Care Certification within one year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for epilepsy patients across EMU and outpatient settings.
• Schedule pre-surgical tests (MRI, PET, SPECT, WADA, fMRI) and epilepsy surgery conferences.
• Respond to patient portal messages and triage phone calls.
• Develop standards of care and educational materials for the epilepsy program.
• Participate in research protocols and data collection for epilepsy research.
• Collaborate with neurology team to promote patient-family centered care.
• Discharge planning and post-visit follow-ups.
• Inpatient rounds in EMU on phase 1 and 2 patients.
