Weill Cornell Medicine in New York's Upper East Side seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Epilepsy Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. You will coordinate and provide direct patient care in a busy neurology practice, assisting faculty and managing medication renewals, histories, and exams.

Qualifications

• NYS Registered Nurse Practitioner license and current NP registration.
• NYS Registered Professional Nurse license and current RN registration.
• Current National Board Certification (ANCC/PNCB).
• Current BLS (American Heart Association).
• Infection Control Certificate.
• Current Narcotics DEA registration certificate.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care on outpatient and/or inpatient Epilepsy service.
• Obtain comprehensive and focused health histories; perform focused physical exams.
• Order labs, imaging, diagnostics, and consultations; develop patient care plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions following standards of care.
• Enter all findings into patients' medical records per documentation standards.
• Counsel patients and families on disease management, prevention, and care coordination.
