The SIU Medicine Department of Neurology seeks a physician specialized in Epilepsy and EEGs for a clinical, teaching, research, and service role aligned with the mission of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching and rounds, protocol development, and involvement in clinical trials; outpatient clinics, EEG interpretation, epilepsy surgery evaluations, and intraoperative monitoring are expected components.

Formación

• Board certified or board eligible in neurology.
• Board certified or board eligible in epilepsy.
• At least one year of postdoctoral training or equivalent in Epilepsy and EEG.
• Knowledge and practical skills in diagnosis and care of epilepsy; interpreting EEGs and intraoperative monitoring.

Responsabilidades

• Teach residents and students through lectures, seminars, conferences and rounds.
• Provide direct patient care, supervise outpatient clinics and inpatient service.
• Participate in protocol development, staff education and hospital committees.
• Engage in clinical trials and publish research findings.
