Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks an accomplished, board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy to serve as Division Chief of Epilepsy at the rank of Professor of Neurology. The role combines strategic, academic, clinical, and administrative leadership within MUSC’s nationally recognized academic medical center.

The Division Chief will shape the division's direction, expand clinical programs, recruit and develop faculty, and ensure educational excellence,

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology and epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology eligibility.
• Fellowship training in Epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology.
• SC medical license eligibility and privileges.
• Academic record aligning with Professor of Neurology.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Division of Epilepsy.
• Develop multi-year growth plans for clinical services, access, and research.
• Lead expansion of outpatient epilepsy services, EMU, neurophysiology, and surgery.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty and APPs; support academic promotion.
• Oversee education, mentorship, and program development in epilepsy.
