Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is seeking a licensed clinical social worker to join the Social Work & Community Health Department as part of the Rush Epilepsy psychotherapy team. This full-time role focuses on adult and older adult patients with medically complex needs, including epilepsy and related neurological conditions, delivering trauma-informed, patient-centered psychotherapy.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
• LCSW licensure in Illinois is required.
• Minimum two years’ healthcare or social services experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered and trauma-informed psychotherapy services to adults and older adults in Rush Epilepsy clinic.
• Conducts comprehensive psychotherapy intake assessments (in person and teletherapy) and develops care plans.
• Utilizes NEST model psychotherapy and participates in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborates with patients’ families and caregivers as appropriate, including family sessions.
• Completes documentation and billing in Epic and connects patients to Rush and community resources.
