Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in epidemiology or public health surveillance.
• Familiarity with basic epidemiologic methods and outbreak investigation principles.
• Experience reviewing and synthesizing information from multiple sources to identify and summarize public health events.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, R, SAS, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate programmatic, epidemiologic, and surveillance activities focusing on event-based surveillance, public health intelligence, and epidemic intelligence.
• Identify and assess emerging public health threats through analysis of diverse information sources; monitor global signals; evaluate risks and support response activities.
• Provide scientific consultation to public health agencies, collaborate with partners, prepare analytic reports, present findings, and communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of surveillance programs, measure outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement.
