Job summary

GAP Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced epidemiologist/data analyst to lead advanced analyses for CDC CORVD, developing dashboards and data-driven products for investigations, dashboards, and rapid-turn decision support.

The role requires translating analyses into clear briefings and manuscripts, collaborating across CDC stakeholders while maintaining data confidentiality and data security. Master’s preferred; public health background essential.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 10 years of demonstrated experience performing advanced epidemiologic/statistical analyses
  • Bachelor's degree in public health or related field
  • Proficiency in SAS and/or R for analysis and reporting
  • Strong ability to translate analysis into clear written products and briefings
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with CDC stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and data security
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust suitability and comply with CDC policies

Job description

Position Objective

Lead and execute advanced epidemiologic analyses and data-driven products for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) supporting investigations, dashboards, publications, and rapid-turn decision support.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Perform and guide complex analytic work (multivariate models, study design support, power calculations).


  • Develop analytic datasets, documentation, and repeatable pipelines/code.


  • Provide quality assurance guidance to ensure data integrity and consistency.


  • Produce dashboards/visualizations and briefing materials for leadership.


  • Support manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and clearance-ready deliverables.



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications


  • 3 to 10 years of demonstrated experience performing advanced epidemiologic/statistical analyses


  • Bachelor's degree in public health or related field

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree in public health or related field


  • Experience with clinical data, surveillance platforms, and data modernization alignment


  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau and developing dashboards for program use


  • Experience facilitating rapid turnaround for complex documents and clearance workflows
