Job summary

Telnet, Inc. is seeking an Epidemiologist I to develop and maintain CHANT data collection enhancements using REDCap, integrating HUGS, CSS, and TennCare Outreach.

The role focuses on building data collection modules, guiding program evaluation, and supporting CHANT program integration with new systems. The candidate will prepare routine reports, adapt SAS and REDCap configurations as required, and assist non-technical staff with system use.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare routine reports of program participation and outcomes.
  • Implement SAS code changes and REDCap project changes as monitoring guidance evolves.
  • Provide technical assistance to non-technical staff (REDCap system, SOP guidance).
  • Write independent code and test output for accuracy.
  • Pull, clean, and submit CHANT reports weekly/monthly/quarterly.
  • Create data outputs and visualizations for CHANT data with MCH Programs Team.
  • Provide quick responses to data inquiries for regional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work remotely and come into Nashville office monthly.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc data/analysis requests.
  • Translate programmatic requirements into appropriate data collection.

Job description

The contract Epidemiologist1 willbe responsible fordeveloping andmaintainingenhancements to the CHANT (Community Health Access and Navigation Team) data collection project. CHANT combines three care coordination programs (HUGS, CSS, and TennCare Outreach) into one overarching care coordination program. CHANTutilizesREDCapto build out a data collection module that is used to guide programmatic efforts and collect data for evaluation and program oversight.The Epidemiologist1 must have extensive knowledge ofREDCapand be able to quickly build out a data collection system that meets the programmatic requirements.The Epidemiologist1 will alsoassistwiththe CHANT programintegrationa new data system.

The Epidemiologist 1 will:
  • Prepare routine reports of program participation and outcomes to internal and external partners
  • Implement SAS code changes andREDCapproject changes as monitoring guidance evolves or processes change
  • Provide technicalassistanceto non-technical staff (e.g.,REDCCapsystem, SOP/task guidance, etc.)
  • Writes independent code andis able totest output for accuracy.
  • Pull, clean, andsubmitrecurringCHANT reports(weekly, monthly, quarterly)in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with MCH Programs Team to effectively support MCH surveillance projects and create data outputs and visualizations for CHANT data.
  • Provide quickresponseofdata inquiries and provide information of CHANT data to the regional teams, leadership,stakeholdersand other public health partners
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Ability to come into the Nashville office monthly or a needed
  • Fulfill ad-hoc data and/or analysis requests
  • Translate programmatic requirements into the development ofappropriate datacollection
Other Requirements:
  • Proficient at managing electronic data and navigating complex databases and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experiences in customer service and working on teams
  • Proficient at statistical software programming, such as SAS
  • Experience in public health and health data such as vital records or health survey data (preferred)
  • Experience in deployment or implementation of application systems or related field(preferred)
  • Foundation in system design,analysisand evaluation
  • This position does not supervise any staff.
