Job summary

The Tennessee Department of Health, Division of Family Health and Wellness, is hiring a contract Epidemiologist 1 in Nashville to conduct scientific and epidemiological assessments for the CHANT initiative.

The role focuses on data collection with REDCap, SAS code updates, reports, and collaboration with MCH programs to support surveillance, with a hybrid work arrangement and travel to Nashville as needed.

Master’s in epidemiology or related fields required; experience in health data preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in relevant epidemiology/public health/biostatistics fields.
• Experience with REDCap data collection systems and SAS is preferred.
• Strong background in public health data and surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enhancements to the CHANT data collection project.
• Prepare routine reports of program participation and outcomes.
• Implement SAS code changes and REDCap project updates as needed.
