Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Control Systems Engineer to design and implement LabVIEW-based control systems for laboratory experiments and Natrium testing activities. You will work with LabVIEW, EPICS, and PLC/PLA technologies to support first-of-a-kind experiments in a safety-conscious R&D environment.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience; advanced degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience with LabVIEW programming and EPICS integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop LabVIEW control code for CompactRIO devices.
• Create and standardize HMI templates for multi-disciplinary experiments.
• Integrate LabVIEW-based controls with EPICS.
• Develop PLC/PLA control code in Structured Text.
• Collaborate with test engineers to integrate sensors and hardware.
