Job summary

SYSTEM West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Systems Analyst to design, implement, and support Epic Tapestry-based solutions across enrollment, benefits, claims, and related workflows. You will collaborate with clinical and IT teams to ensure data integrity and reliable system performance.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, training end users, project coordination, and staying abreast of HL7, FHIR, and DICOM standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Two relevant certifications within 90 days following formal training provided by WVUHS IT.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, or combined with degree.
• Experience with Epic Tapestry and healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software systems to meet organizational needs.
• Troubleshoot system issues, train end-users, and coordinate projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and experts to ensure system goals and efficiency.
• Manage system upgrades, testing, and data reporting to support operations.
• Apply security controls and manage user access to uphold data integrity.
• Stay current with industry trends and optimization techniques for system enhancements.
• Analyze data, generate reports, and support decision-making with actionable insights.
• Coordinate cross-functional work and communicate project status to stakeholders.
