Position Overview

The Application Analyst supports OCHIN’s mission by configuring and supporting clinical applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system for our member clinics. This role involves consulting with members to provide solutions that ensure accurate, secure, and efficient patient care, provider workflows, and medical and billing information management, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations.

Essential Duties

  • Perform routine build and configuration in Epic and related products.
  • Serve as Level 2 technical support for ancillary integrated products, including:
  • Collecting and resolving issues
  • Coordinating with Help Desk on JIRA resolution
  • Assisting in vendor call agendas and representing OCHIN’s technical perspective during vendor calls
  • Supporting the Member Care Team to achieve team support goals
  • Leading sessions with OCHIN members to resolve complex integration and support issues
  • Discussing and providing workflow solutions, including hands-on training to ensure system understanding
  • Documenting build specifications, team processes, and complex workflows
  • QA testing of complex builds, Service Updates, and work orders
  • Collaborating with other teams to address integration issues
  • Providing support during Go-Lives and mock clinics
  • Leading member trainings and workgroups
  • Mentoring and training less experienced analysts
  • Developing workflow best practices
  • Traveling for off-site software installations as needed
  • Assisting Project Managers in system capability assessments
  • Building, testing, and documenting new system features
  • Implementing process improvements within your application or team
  • Performing other duties as assigned
