Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled professional to support managed care contracts within Epic Hospital and Professional Billing modules. You will monitor performance, identify underpayments, and uncover revenue opportunities to optimize reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities include configuring payer contracts, translating terms, and testing reimbursement calculations while collaborating across Finance, IT, and payer relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience.
• Five years in Managed Care, Government Finance, Revenue Cycle, Billing, or related healthcare fields.
• Experience with CMS or Texas Medicaid Programs.
• Experience in Epic HB/PB or any other EHR software.
• Knowledge of business office operations and processes.
• Experience with application troubleshooting.
• Experience with managed care contracts and payer reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Configure payer reimbursement contracts in Epic HB and PB.
• Translate contracts, exclusions, carve-outs, stop-loss provisions, fee schedules, and payment methodologies.
• Develop test scenarios to verify reimbursement calculations.
• Research discrepancies and collaborate with Finance, IT, and payer teams.
• Maintain payer and plan mappings to link contracts to payers and locations.
• Maintain build specifications, testing evidence, approvals, change controls, and SOPs.
• Explain contract terms and reimbursement logic to Revenue Cycle teams.
• Stay current with CMS, Medicare, and Medicaid rules and updates.
