Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking aContract Specialist to support managed care and government reimbursement contracts within Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB). You will monitor performance and identify underpayments and revenue opportunities.

The role requires experience with CMS/Medicaid, Epic HB/PB or similar EHRs, and cross-functional collaboration with Revenue Cycle, IT, and payer teams. Strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 Years of Experience.
• Experience with CMS or Texas Medicaid Programs.
• Experience in Epic HB/PB or any other EHR software.
• Business office operations/processes.
• Application troubleshooting.
• Managed Care contract and payer reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, implementation, testing, and maintenance of managed care and government reimbursement contracts within Epic HB and PB.
• Monitor contract performance and identify underpayments and revenue opportunities.
• Configure payer reimbursement contracts in Epic HB and PB.
• Maintain payer and plan mapping to ensure contracts connect to correct payers, plans, products, service areas, location, and billing entities.
• Explain contract terms and Epic reimbursement logic to revenue-related teams.
• Stay updated on CMS, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement rules and methodologies.
