Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled professional to support the preparation, implementation, testing, and maintenance of managed care and government reimbursement contracts within Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB). The role involves monitoring contract performance, identifying underpayments, and pursuing revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years of experience in Managed Care, Government Finance, Revenue Cycle, Billing, or related healthcare fields.
• Experience with CMS or Texas Medicaid Programs and Epic HB/PB or similar EHR.

Responsibilities

• Configure payer reimbursement contracts in Epic HB and PB.
• Translate contract terms, exclusions, carve-outs, stop-loss provisions, and payment methodologies.
• Develop test scenarios to ensure accurate reimbursement calculations in HB/PB.
• Research reimbursement discrepancies and coordinate with multiple departments for resolution.
• Maintain payer and plan mapping to connect contracts to payers, plans, products, and services.
• Maintain build specs, testing evidence, approvals, and change controls.
• Explain contract terms and reimbursement logic to relevant teams.
• Stay current with CMS, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement rules and policy updates.
