Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks an Assistant Director, Information Systems to lead Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) initiatives. This role bridges senior technical staff and department leadership, supporting configuration, workflow design, analytics, and issue resolution.

It leads cross functional teams and drives process improvements, system reliability, and data integrity across PB ecosystems. You will mentor analysts, guide complex projects, and partner with clinical, revenue cycle,

Qualifications

7+ years in IT with 5+ years Epic PB experience.
Minimum of 8 years IT experience overall with healthcare or PB focus.
Master’s degree preferred; a related Bachelor’s degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior SME for Epic Resolute Professional Billing, including reporting, extracts, charge router, work queues, security, and workflow configuration.
Lead design, build, testing, and implementation of PB enhancements and optimizations.
Ensure system stability, data accuracy, security, and availability across PB apps and analytics.
Mentor senior/mid-level analysts and drive cross-functional initiatives from intake to delivery.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
