Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, Florida, is seeking a candidate to maintain and optimize Epic and associated systems supporting patient care. You will collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain workflows, while documenting and communicating effectively with leadership and staff.

The role requires Epic certification or progress toward it within 3 months, strong problem solving, and a proactive approach to learning in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of classes
• Basic Microsoft suite of products
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving and strong analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Work with general guidance
• Rapid learner
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadline constraints
• Basic knowledge of HL7 and API concepts within healthcare environments
• Knowledge of clinical/business/technical workflow (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance clinical and business systems to support patient care delivery
• Collaborate with clinicians to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and other systems
• Document workflows and perform gap analyses for new implementations
• Communicate with hospital leadership and staff about system changes
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed with recommended resolutions
• Participate in cross-functional projects and project planning
• Support 24/7 production systems through on-call responsibilities
• Develop test scripts and documentation for end-to-end workflow testing
