About ITJ

ITJ is a nearshore technology services firm that enables U.S. life sciences, healthcare, and biotech companies to build world-class development teams in Mexico. We specialize in software engineering, AI/ML, and are now launching a dedicated Epic Systems consulting practice to support U.S. hospitals and health systems.

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic Epic Practice Consultant to help stand up and guide the launch of ITJ’s Epic Practice. This role will support key activities such as client discovery, service development, talent planning, and early-stage delivery design. You will work closely with the Principal of Strategic Partnerships & Emerging Business and act as an advisor and fractional leader as we grow this offering.

Scope of Work

  • Shape ITJ’s Epic practice service lines (staff augmentation, go-live support, training, optimization)
  • Define go-to-market messaging and initial client value propositions
  • Provide input on delivery models and staffing ratios

Client & Market Validation

  • Advise on conversations with CIOs, CMIOs, and Epic stakeholders at health systems
  • Identify key Epic modules and roles in demand
  • Contribute to early-stage proposals or presentations for clients
  • Recommend Epic certification paths and staffing plan structure
  • Support the design of the Epic Talent Academy to upskill junior staff
  • Advise on contractor vs. FTE mix and sourcing strategy

Delivery & Operations

  • Help define delivery playbooks, onboarding procedures, and client success metrics
  • Optionally serve as an interim engagement advisor or solution architect for pilot projects

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of experience with Epic implementations, optimizations, or support
  • Strong understanding of multiple Epic modules (e.g., Beaker, MyChart, Ambulatory, Radiant, Resolute)
  • Experience helping scale or operate Epic consulting teams or practices
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Prior consulting or fractional leadership experience preferred
