Job summary

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Information Technology seeks a Physician Support Informaticist 3 to deliver one-on-one post classroom training on Epic UChart modules across service lines in Miami, FL. You will address end-user issues, document resolution steps, and coordinate with UHIT teams for efficient support.

You will lead issue-resolution planning, participate in go-lives at UMHC locations, and advocate for physician workflow improvements while ensuring adherence to policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Epic Certification in at least one core module is required.
• Informatics Certificate or Lean Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in clinical operations, Hospital IT, or healthcare vendor setting.
• Experience leading at least one implementation of a module or system (Epic preferred).
• Vendor/Consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiates periodic rounding to identify provider and physician issues across ambulatory care and clinics.
• Partners with Informatics and IT leadership to develop and implement issue resolution plans.
• Travels to UMHC satellite locations to provide go-live support.
• Advocates for provider needs by identifying system optimization opportunities.
• Analyzes new releases to assess impact on provider workflow.
• Participates in end-user sessions to prioritize changes and facilitate adoption.
• Collaborates with trainers on documentation and training strategies.
• Participates in on-call rotations and maintains regular team communication.
• Reviews project status with leadership and adheres to policies.
