Position Overview

The Epic MyChart Application Analyst supports the mission of OCHIN by configuring and supporting clinical applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software for our member clinics. This role consults with members to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient patient care and provider workflows, medical and billing information for patient's providers and clinics, and usage of Epic front desk application and related ancillary services, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations.

Essential Duties

Analyst job duties:

  1. Perform routine build and configuration in Epic and related products.
  2. Act as Level 2 technical support for many ancillary integrated products. This entails:
  3. Collecting and resolving issues
  4. Coordinating with Help Desk on JIRA resolution
  5. Helping the product owner to put together agendas for vendor calls.
  6. Representing OCHIN on vendor calls from a technical perspective.
  7. Operate alongside the Member Care Team framework, being a key contributor to the overall goals of the team support model.
  8. Serve as internal advisor to other analysts as the lead during working sessions with OCHIN members to resolve advanced and complex integration work orders and support issues.
  9. Discuss and provide workflow solutions and ensure understanding of the system through hands-on training.
  10. Document build specifications, team processes, and complex clinic workflows.
  11. QA complex builds, Service Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.
  12. Collaborate with members from other OCHIN teams to address integration issues.
  13. Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives and Mock clinics as needed.
  14. Lead trainings and workgroups for members.
  15. Mentor, coach, and train less experienced analysts.
  16. Develop and share workflow best practices.
  17. Travel to support off-site software installations as needed, estimated to be up to 10%.
  18. Assist Project Managers in identifying system capabilities.
  19. Build, design, test, and document functionality of new system features.
  20. Provide process improvements within your application or team.
  21. Other duties as assigned.
