Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring an IT Program Manager for Community Connect. This remote role requires residency within driving distance of a Sentara facility. The PMO will coordinate several interrelated technical projects, align with business objectives, and drive adoption of best practices in program management.

The position emphasizes Epic installations/enhancements, mentorship, budget reporting, and stakeholder influence to ensure successful project delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• Epic Certification in clinical or revenue cycle (Required)
• 3 years of IT program/project management experience with a degree (Required)
• 5 years of IT program/project management experience without a degree (Required)
• Experience working on Epic installations or enhancements is a must.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate multiple interrelated technical projects within the PMO.
• Develop and implement best practices, templates, and guidelines for technical program and project management.
• Provide training and mentorship to project teams to ensure adherence to methodologies.
• Monitor dependencies across projects to ensure seamless execution and alignment with objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and report consolidated technical project status and financial information to leadership.
• Oversee compliance with methodologies, budgets, and timelines; possibly serve as central governing body for audits.
• Manage resource coordination, risk assessment, and scope definition for major projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with leadership to resolve conflicts and address challenges.
• Influence stakeholders outside reporting lines regarding policies and procedures.
