Job summary

Baton Rouge Health District is seeking an Interface Analyst/Developer responsible for the analysis, technical design, and support of interfaces. Key tasks include designing high-quality interface integrations and troubleshooting related issues.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of programming experience or relevant FMOLHS IS system experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in IT can substitute for programming experience. Familiarity with HL7 standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of programming experience or 3 years of FMOLHS IS system experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT field substitutes for 2 years of programming experience.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient high-quality interface integrations.
• Perform investigation of interface-related business and system requirements.
• Evaluate business requirements and processes to provide possible solutions.
• Communicate with team members to address application functionality.
• Serve as the point person for assigned interfaces.
• Coordinate all testing/validation of the interface.
• Troubleshoot production or testing issues related to interfaces.
• Develop and document interface specifications.
• Create mapping documents for HL7 fields.
• Perform configuration/build changes.
