Job summary

University Health is seeking an Epic Inpatient Analyst to serve as the primary support contact for the Epic application within the Inpatient team. The role involves designing, building, and testing the system to meet end-user workflow requirements and providing technical guidance throughout implementation and operation.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in information technology and have experience with Epic Inpatient systems, with the ability to manage complex computer system

• Epic experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary support contact for their Epic application in the Inpatient team.
• Designs, builds, and tests the Epic system to meet end user workflow needs.

• Maintains good working relationships with UH staff and performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as the primary support contact for their Epic application in the Inpatient team. Designs, builds, and tests the system to achieve workflow requirements to meet end user needs. Provides computer technical expertise, project management, technical guidance and direction in the implementation and operation of the computer system. Organises and schedules a variety of major and/or complex computer system tasks, including programming, in a timely and proficient manner.

Individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UH staff and perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the UHpolicies and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field is required. Experience as an Epic application analyst preferred but not required. Experience specifically in Epic Inpatient systems applications preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Work experience may be substituted for formal education requirement. Will be required to successfully pass the Epic pre-assessment test.
