Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Informatics Trainer to ensure Epic users across the enterprise are proficient with Epic modules. The role emphasizes collaboration with Epic analysts, clinicians, and leadership to support patient care, safety, and outcomes.

The trainer will pursue Epic principal trainer certification within three months and will train independently once certified, contributing to change management and end‑user education across Carle Health.

Qualifications

• Superior interpersonal, communication, training, and presentation abilities are required.
• Epic certification or credentialling within three months of hire or per organizational direction.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field; experience in lieu of education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, attend, lead, and document notes/minutes of meetings.
• Earn and maintain Epic certification or credentials.
• Plan, schedule, and deliver training.
• Adhere to standardized training curricula and delivery methods.
• Provide follow‑up support to users after training.
• Assess EHR skills and recommend appropriate training to promote end‑user success.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders and staff to plan and implement EHR enhancements.
• Lead and participate in projects at local, regional, and system levels.
• Train and support end‑users to achieve defined outcomes.
• Utilize Epic reports to monitor proficiency and drive improvements.
